It's been a while since I posted anything here, which indicates, I guess, just how special this cover version this.
I love Emily but Joanna Newsom's voice, well, to me she sounds like a witch being tortured. I just can't stick her, unfortunately.
So I searched for a cover of this song and came across this from a guy called Christopher Perdue. He doesn't seem to do much music, that I could find anyway....kinda makes me think that this was originally released on Sub Pop in the mid-90s and Newsom stole it...sure sounds like it to me.
